Vescogni Law

Mediation is a voluntary process in which two or more parties involved in a dispute work with a neutral party, the mediator, to generate solutions in settling a conflict.  The parties attempt to find a solution that works for them.  Effective January 1, 2007, Illinois Supreme Court Rules require parties involved in divorce or paternity litigation who cannot agree on custody or a parenting plan (or both) to attend mediation.  Of course, the parties are always free to pursue mediation as an alternative to litigation.

Michelle A. Vescogni is a certified family law mediator who has successfully worked with parties to resolve conflicts and develop solutions that are ultimately less costly and adversarial than litigation.
